Fetapets: for busy city dwellers who can't deal with the hassle of living pets. No it isn't a joke.

I heard the "proprietor" of this business on the radio today, who says he gets the fetuses from Sacramento. He also claimed that he was sad that the sales weren't up over Christmas, and that these pets were "cuter" than "the small dogs people get in NYC, which are quite unsightly". He also griped about PayPal killing his transaction service because of complaints by religious fanatics.

Summoning up his legendary grasp of the obvious, FetaMaster notes that you can "click Reload to see this page again".

Q. What's the difference between a pile of dead babies and a pile of marbles?

A. You can't load the marbles into a dump truck using a pitch-fork.

From the FAQ. Yes, it is a joke. It's no different than Bonsai Kitten or Baby Smasher.

He also griped about PayPal killing his transaction service because of complaints by religious fanatics.

I think it must be a recurring theme. From their FAQ:

Q. Why do they call it PayPal when they don't let you pay and they're not your pal?

A. The domain name CockSucker was already taken.

I don't deny that he's crude, but I don't think its a joke. The payment system is linked up through Yahoo Pay Direct, I don't think he'd bother otherwise. Who wants to be the first person to order one and find out?

Huh. I thought they were pets of cheese. This is infinitely worse.

image of a jar containing a fetal dog (?) with glitter in the suspension fluid (literally). So you can shake it up*, I suppose.

says a lady from my church; "Oh, you work on the internet... I don't look at that, I heard it has pictures of fetuses in jars."

I always knew truth was stranger than fiction, now I have proof. That's disgusting. I don't see what possible discussion can come of this other than "OH MY GOD SICK!" but I'm sure something will come up.

The funniest part of the site is the mail they received... frankly I'm not sure which ones worry me most, the ones who want to order, or the ones from self-appointed busybodies who apparently have nothing better to do with their day than to write, basically, "you suck! rot in hell!" to a webmaster.

Perhaps I ought to put up a web page offering the Brooklyn Bridge for sale, then gladly accept payment from the morons from around the world (esp. Sweden, apparently) who will take it seriously and send me the dough...

Then again reality may just be stranger than fiction...

I think the site is hilarious...
A distant cousin to the FetaPets are pickles. If your FetaPet looks lonely, consider introducing your pet to a Baby Dill. Their friendship will be legendary. Caution: Do not eat FetaPets.*

I don't get it. These things aren't supposed to be a hassle? What if you drop the jar and it breaks? I don't even want to think about it...

Just when I thought it couldn't get any stranger....

Actually I suspect this is a hoax. Everyone got in an uproar about this a little while ago and it turned out it was fake.

It may not be a hoax, in that you might actually be able to buy one, but it certainly is a joke -- a really gross joke, but that's the way it goes these days. Seems to me you could actually place orders for ManBeef, too (not that you'd really receive any).

If you look closely at this page it becomes apparent the "pup" is actually a "pig fetus". That isn't necessarily better, but those have been a common fixture in biology class, and are easily purchased.

Wait, I don't really want to know.
