I honestly can't tell if these are creepy or beautiful. I mean, obviously they can be both. They just seem a little too much on this side of realistic for my comfort level. My favorite.

These are way cooler than what I was picturing!

Kate Clark is an artist who uses clay to sculpt human faces for taxidermied animals a clever serial killer who has found a way to hide her trophies in plain sight.

They are pretty though.

Giving them human faces is easy. It's the getting them to play tiny instruments that's hard.

I am not comfortable with the concept of eating anything from the uncanny valley...

Ooo. It's the eyes that make them beautiful and also so-real-they're-messing-with-my-mind creepy. I love these!

As an aspiring rogue taxidermist, I am curious as to whether she prepares her own mounts, or modifies existing pieces.

These are fantastic and yet I am disappointed because they aren't as creepy as I expected.

These will haunted my dreams way less than I expected. Creepy, but also really cool looking!

I find these oddly charming. Imagine finding Fortitude loping around your backyard.

This is so well executed! Also, is it just me or this one looks like Björk?

It's total nightmare fuel, but fascinating!

I saw Licking the Plate at the Nevada Museum of Art earlier this year and will confirm it is just as beautiful and disconcerting in person.

Yikes, this is such nightmare fuel for me. I'd be totally ok with them if not for the stitching on the faces. I had to nope right out and close the window.

I went back to peek because there is something serene about the faces that I like, but stitching nope nope nope.
