The irony is that all those people opposed to fetal tissue research as of late, would love to get their hands on one of these sweet engineered kidneys if they needed one.

The liver bud transplant strategy they got at least sort of working in mice is fascinating. Four years to human clinical trials? Sounds like a reasonable timeline, if the higher order animals transplants work. No mention of whether the plan is autologous or allogeneic mini-organs, though.
