Album cover artist Mitch O'Connell has come up with an "unrequested poster" for Paul McCartney's current Out There 2015 world tour. HE claims there are about 50 Macca-related references, but I only count about 12 or so. If anyone is up to it and can site 50 or even close to it, please post to comments! It's done in the psychedelic style of 60s artist Peter Maxx, and is a curious and fun piece.

Sea of Holes from Yellow Sub.
Bluebird of Happiness on the left - Blackbird under the pie on the right?
Drive my Car?
(And of course) Henry The Horse dances the waltz - Being for the Benefit of Mr. Kite

Guy in blue doing the pose from Help is probably also the Fool on the Hill.
Holes may be the ten thousand holes in Blackburn, Lancashire (A day in the life).
The lady in the sky blue cape may be Lucy in the sky with diamonds.
Birds on the right may also refer to Wings.

I think the car is from "The Back Seat of My Car".
Roses from Red Rose Speedway?
Smoke from cigarette, from Paul's section of "A Day in the Life"?
Maybe the clock tower references London Town.
The armchair and the flaming LPs have me totally stumped.

There's also the glove, from Yellow Submarine.

Paul's walking on the poster is also a reference to Abbey Road, of course.

The burning records could be a reference to how their works were burned as a result of the whole "Bigger than Jesus" controversy, and their hot singles.

Lots of eyes... perhaps one of them is a reference to "Queenie Eye". There are also references to the famous Avedon photographs of The Beatles.

You have the earth and Saturn... which sets up Venus and Mars... and perhaps also the sun in there as well. I Follow the Sun?! It also references Back to the Egg.

There's also a reference to the "Memory Almost Full" album cover.

Are those McCartney Roses?

"Holes may be the ten thousand holes in Blackburn, Lancashire (A day in the life)."

Is that bird on the left reading the news today?!

These rose things are probably referencing his album "Red Rose Speedway". And yes the empty chair is the "Memory Almost full" album cover. And let's not forget the album "Flaming Pie" in there, and the song "Bluebird".
Good job, guys. But no one caught the white sheepdog at the bottom (McCartney's dog in 1968, "Martha My Dear").

Oops, sorry. On both counts.

I don't see anything like 50 references, unless you count each apple and each cherry separately.

I seriously thought this was about Mitch McConnell and I was like...

The Wings hands in the bottom.

In this instance, those are also "hands across the water," a la Uncle Albert/Admiral Halsey.

Band posters were never the strong suit of hippy culture, in my opinion. Mysteriously, you still see flyers with that crappy and unreadable ersatz psychedelic lettering, though.
