Gentle Giant German TV ZDF 1974-Live Brussels film studio

In 1974 Christopher Nupen, the celebrated classical music director, invited the so-called progressive rock band Gentle Giant to record THIS CONCERT in a Brussels film studio to be broadcast as a 'Sunday Concert' on German television station ZDF.

I'm pretty sure there are lutes eventually. Definitely recorders.

I'm torn. they kind or remind me of early Yes but there's something very Spinal Tap about that video.

Having seen ZDF on Sunday evenings many times, it would not surprise me if this still gets shown once in a while. The Germans don't throw away nice things just because they're old.

And here's me thinking I must be one of the few people in the known universe who actually owns a Gentle Giant vinyl. I must have collected it becsause of it's connection to Yes (it's kinda Yes-like), and the artwork attracted me (like so many shiny things).

After listening to tons of Yes but never really seeing any video of them, a friend gave me a copy of a DVD of some Yes concert. I was surprised to find that Yes concerts were also very Spinal Tap.
