A growing paper city, models by Charles Young. [via]
This is a 365 day project started in August 2014 and recently wrapped up. As a small child, I tried to make a cardboard amusement park with a friend, so I particularly loved some of the ones that are like amusement park rides.

I'd also been hoping for more papercraft, some process notes and all these things laid like a city instead of like islands which would not, you know, build a city. It looks like the motion for these are all in-camera? Lots of clever ideas there; hard not to love daily projects of this quality...

Yes, I think it is all stop motion animation. It does say in the via link that he hopes to display the complete cityscape somewhere so maybe it goes together better than we might expect?

In the via link there's a picture of some of his models together, so we get a hint of what they'd look like as a city.
