Australian photographer Jane Long's project "Dancing With Costică" brings new life to photos shot by Romanian photographer Costică Acsinte 80 years ago.

"The Dancing with Costică series initially came about when I decided to brush up on my retouching skills. After finding the Costică Acsinte Archive on Flickr I became fascinated with the images and their subjects. I wanted to bring them to life. But more than that I wanted to give them a story."

More of this ongoing series can be seen on Jane Long's site. Also, there's an exhibition currently showing at Ballarat Art Gallery . It's on until 20th September, if any Victorian readers want to go see.

Intriguing concept. In an age where visual material can be so manipulated, the question of image ownership becomes complicated.

Rather liked the boys in the bathtub.

I enjoyed these. Thanks for posting!
