Poesjes is a new live action series about a family of cats who live in a cat-sized house and have a turtle butler. It's in Dutch but speaks the international language of cat.

The first 12 minute episode autoplays at the above link.

Works fine for me. I'm in the US and using Firefox.

I had to switch to chrome and turn off all blockers and agree to a cookie, I think...

Someone call Netflix and tell them to buy this show and keep making episodes forever and they'll never have to do anything else ever.

This works for me except in that I now need to learn Dutch immediately.

It's so weird, as someone who speaks both English and Japanese, to come across a Cat Thing on the internet made in a language I can't understand.

Checkin' my privilege, yo

How does a cat become an alcoholic anyway? This needs a prequel for Oom Boudewijn. Just "De Boudewijn", maybe?

Not being Dutch I was pretty much using Archer and Woodhouse to represent Boudewijn and Butler Ed.

It's funny imagining the turtle as being addicted to smack.

Fun fact: this appears to be a new show based on cats, called Poesjes (pussys). I just found a previous show, with the same title, and subtitles. Not the same thing, in case you stumble across it in your search for "poesjes subtitles."

To entice you to watch this other show about cats (if such enticing was necessary), here's a clip of the translated script.
SCENE: kittens in a wheelbarrow in a field, with a horse in the background.

"The kittens got scolded again. They had been far too demanding, as usual."

"I don't have patience! I'm out!" (and the kitten hops out of the wheelbarrow) ~~ I'll stop now.

I am pretty sure that watching this infected me with toxoplasmosis.

vPro uses a whole bunch of RequireJS stuff, you pretty much have to run it wide open as far as I can tell.

youtube-dl appears to be familiar with vPro and is successfully downloading the video, in case you have that handy.

Poesjes is the perfect series for my cat-loving, Dutch boyfriend. He says that Oom Boudewijn (the cat that keeps ordering stuff from the turtle butler) is the kittens' uncle (oom means uncle). Their father, Lucas, works abroad as a mouser.

The other Poesjes show that filthy light thief linked to is also amazing. A quote from episode 3:
Narrator: "Taking a dump is always a pleasant chore. Theo [the kitten] never needed to be taught how to do it. He already knew how to, a true talent you could say.

Alright, maybe mother demonstrated it once."

Somedays I hope that long after civilization has gone to dust intelligent life will discover only our live action animal based children shows. Whatever type of society they backwards engineer from that small sliver of humanity will be amazing.

I can also see it, I'm in the UK and on Firefox.

As a Dutch learner, this clearly falls into the category of "homework" and it's my duty to watch it. That's my story and I'm sticking to it.

I used to have a tuxedo cat called Django. He was super dumb, but super cute and a good guy.

Then he got hit by a car and died, and I cannot bear to look at this video.

sldownard: it's a fine story and I'd definitely buy that for a €.
