David C Roy designed and handcrafted over 150 different one-of-a-kind kinetic sculptures. Common elements in his work include motion and wood. They are powered by constant force springs.

Also, somehow similar woodworks by Clayton Boyer.

Yes, that is very previously, but I like the square gears by Boyer.

one-of-a-kind

24-, 95-, and 150-of-a-kind, actually.

Still pretty neat though.

I want one of those, and I want an orange bathrobe, and I want a white shag carpet.

These are awesome, I have a new passion--I MUST learn how to make these. Check out his blog too, it doesn't look like it's updated too often but he shares work by other kinetic sculpture artists. Also his Pinterest board.

I love the ambient noises in the square gears link. Roosters, early-morning birds, and the ceaseless clicking of unseen wooden gears. His shop would be an ASMR Disneyland.

You admirers clear don't drink very much. (And a white carpet? Are you nuts?)
