"I'm gonna ask you to sing along with me, but let me get in tune first..."

Pete Seeger - Concert in Sweden 1968. Seeger sings a mix of folk songs, protest songs, and songs from around the world. And as usual, he gets the audience to sing along with him sometimes.

I really miss being in a world where I might get to see Pete perform live one more time.

Oh the last song is so beautiful. It sums up what he wanted for the world.

I'm really sorry he's gone too, but people can't and shouldn't live forever.

I know he felt the best thing we can do is get together with our friends and neighbors and make music. I shared Well May the World Go with my local group upon hearing the news last year, and it's a lovely song but also simple enough that everyone can play and sing it.

Please, go make music in your community, especially with people who are different from you.

This was truly wonderful! I realized that I grew up with many of these songs in the background of my house without really paying attention to the lyrics or connecting them with Pete Seeger. I'm from India, so when he started singing Raghupati Raghava Raja Ram, it gave me goosebumps. Thank you for sharing!

I know what you mean, peacheater. I got interested in Pete Seeger as an adult a while ago and bought what I thought was a completely new album to me. Then I played it and discovered that I could sing along with all the songs!
