25 years after this show band sin my hometown still sounded like this and I still loved it.

Thank you for kick-starting my umpteenth occasional evening down the Husker Du-on-YouTube rabbit hole.

I expected some Hüsker Dü chatter here this week - there's been some news.

Good timing. Greg Norton took to Facebook to hose down some reunion rumours in the last day or so...

Another reason the early 80's was an awesome time for music.

When Grant crashed on my floor last year he mentioned these recordings. Really glad they're seeing the light of day.

Also, we discussed Joseph Conrad at greater length than we discussed Bob Mould, so there's that.

Wow, yeah! I'm not holding a torch for any reunion ever -- even setting aside the enmity between Hart and Mould, the three of them have each said there are other things they'd rather be doing -- but all power to them finally being able to make some money off their work from back in the day.

Somewhat related, "See A Little Light: Bob Mould and Friends Live" is available free on google play. Sure it's not Hüsker, but at least it does have In a Free Land. Glad to hear that we might see some proper collections of old material down the road.

They were so plagued by sound problems the first two times I saw them. Everything went wrong. Good to see what I missed.

I took great pleasure in introducing our 20 year old neighbour to Hüsker Dü a couple of weeks ago. She loved them and iI love this, thank you.

No Data Control? Always thought that was the best of the album.

From a longtime Hüsker-loving friend of mine:

Love the quality editing, looks like a Jazzercise video with Bob and Grant's getups.
