I am so uncool and out of touch that when I first saw the Werewolf Bar Mitzvah vine, I thought it was real.

I made up some pretty amazing explanations of how that came to be.

I like the full song. Also, I need to come up with more opportunities in my life to rhyme haftarah with door-ah.

Wow, even by Times standards that article is square as hell.

And this by the journalistic outfit that brought us Vaping Teengate 2015

Sorry, but truly square is pronouncing meme "may may," as a surprising number of people I've met are prone to doing.

There’s also nothing contemporary about the moves — no dabbing, no whip, no hitting the quan. Instead, they’re concise, universal, more about implication than full expression. They’re also relatable and a little bit goofy, another mechanism of approachability.
This isn't an article, it's a paper from a GE requirement Fine Arts 102 survey course.

The Monster Mash is my personal pre-Werewolf Bar Mitvah favorite.

Yes, fellow Mefites, you too can learn that you know way more of the words to The Monster Mash than you think! Remember, when you come to my place, tell them Boris sent you!

That video owes James Turrell a royalty check.

I clicked into this thread while listening to the Wii Drake on a loop, taking a break from my Saturday-night computer science homework. Everything's coming up Milhouse...

Wait, no! I thought the Wii Drake link was a different thing! I'm listening to this.

Turrell and Drake

That video owes James Turrell a royalty check.

As a matter of fact, Turrell's statement on the video (yes, he put out a statement) is hilarious:

“While I am truly flattered to learn that Drake f*cks with me, I nevertheless wish to make clear that neither I nor any of my woes was involved in any way in the making of the Hotline Bling video.”

Oof. Not the kind of response you would want if you wanted validation for your borrowing of another guy's aesthetic.

I'm so glad I'm also not the only one that thinks he's dancing like Elaine's little kicks in Seinfeld. When I googled this one one of many that came up.

When I first googled "Drake e" it filled to "Drake elaine dance" and I was filled with joy.

Actually, thank goodness for this post, because I saw the "Linus and Lucy" one last week and had no idea what was going on.

The Monster Mash is my personal pre-Werewolf Bar Mitvah favorite.

I like this "monster mash" one better.

I've always wondered who wrote that Werewolf Bar Mitsvah joke so I tweeted at Hannibal Burres and he says it was writer Tami Sagher.

So let the record show Tami Sagher wrote the world's funniest joke.

That NYT article is so square that it's on page L7.

That NYT article is so square that that it only covers the right angles.

That NYT article is so square that it was printed on exactly 9 column inches.

That NYT article is so square it got linked on Metafilter.

I'm reading, watch a couple of the videos (but still haven't seen the original) and thinking "wow, the Turrell is strong here." And then: Last year, he took a writer for Rolling Stone to the Los Angeles County Museum of Art to see an exhibition by James Turrell... 🙏

I like pretty much any of the remixes better than the original, because that Drake song is so much butt. And not good butt. Bad butt.

I'm so square I made an earnest comment after reading the entire article while the latest dank meme dropped.

I really enjoyed the Times piece. Maybe that makes me square, too?

But I'm hip enough to know that Werewolf Bar Mitzvah was written by Donald Glover

> to be fair the NYT article is so square that only 3 people have ever read the entire thing

It's so square that I read it and still have no idea what's going on in this fpp.

My girlfriend is from Spain and insists that Spanish-speakers pronounce meme as "may-may". Which makes total sense to me, but doesn't keep me from chuckling internally when I hear it.

Pool Rules: Children under the age of 15 must be supervised by an adult. No diving. No horseplay. No dabbing, no whip, no hitting the quan.

Meme's and general awesomeness aside, MILA J did a really great cover/remix of the song. It's pretty sweet.

Sorry, but truly square is pronouncing meme "may may," as a surprising number of people I've met are prone to doing.

This is something I've spent way too much time thinking about, but I'm pretty sure there's a meme about pronouncing it "may-may" to make fun of the people who pronounce it that way unironically.

So you have a good chance that anytime someone is pronouncing it "wrong" that you might actually be the square.
