Hieroglyphic Being’s own story of overcoming homelessness in Chicago to become a successful experimental DJ was covered in a short documentary for Resident Advisor’s ORIGINS film series.

Nice to see Jamal getting some love here, he's a genuinely nice guy and talented artist. He and Cygnus are two dudes playing on the more experimental ends of the electronic music spectrum, and their frenetic energy is riveting to watch.

Thanks! I've heard his music around and I've really liked what I heard. It was really neat to watch his "origins story," and I'm glad he has made it beyond his past. More HB: Boiler Room 40 minute mix.
