Horse With Hands Riding A Bike. A horse is difficult to draw. Hands are difficult to draw. Bicycles are difficult to draw. So to draw all three is just cussing mind blowing. But these guys have given it a go!

@Literaryhero OTOH I found this deeply meditative. Why draw a horse with hands riding a bike? Why not?

Like the artists can show off their individual styles and creativity, but at the end of the day it's a horse with hands riding a bike thus low stakes (therefore relaxing).

A web site with people who draw better than you, even if you like drawing.

A horse is difficult to draw.

Horses are damn strange looking... their legs are too thin, the bodies are too rounded, their necks too thick, and don't even get me started on the heads... even if you draw/paint one right it still looks wrong.

> If a horses mouth was like a dogs

Thank you for your fascinating and educational link. I believe we all learned a lot and I for one will never sleep again.

What a clever way to get people to draw your obscure fetish.

Now there's the mother of all pony requests...

I actually think it is just horse heads in general that freak me out. Particularly horse heads with dog mouths. Ugh.

Finally a test to discover the true Bromies.

I told her if she could reach for something and pick it up she could draw a line that was straight enough

She said she weren't interested in that kind of drawing, but always liked horses.
I said "I did too. But they're hard to draw"
She said "Yes, that was very true."
Said she could do the body okay, but never get the head, tail or legs.
I told her she was drawing sausages, not horses.
She said "No, they were horses."

I had an artist friend tell me once that she could never figure out why horses looked different in Japanese artworks... then she went to Japan. "That's just the way horses look in Japan!" she explained.

A web site with people who draw better than you, even if you like drawing.

I think my first mistake was putting pants on the horse and then the rest of it was also mistakes.

Reminds me of how Where the Wild Things Are came to be illustrated that way:
Shortly before starting the illustrations, Sendak realized he did not know how to draw horses and, at the suggestion of his editor, changed the wild horses to the more ambiguous "Wild Things"

I felt this way about Maxfield Parrish's skies and the mountains in Chinese ink painting. The moment of going "huh, it actually does look like that" is a special kind of vertigo.

Yesssssssss Thorzdad. Came here to post same thing; here's the full bit, w/ song link in attribution

A waitress asked me what I did
I told her I tried to make art
She asked me if I made any money
I said, No I have to teach to do that

She asked me what I taught and where
I told her, she told me, she liked art
But that she couldn't draw a straight line
I told her if she could reach for something
And pick it up she could draw a line
That was straight enough

She said, she weren't interested in that kind of drawing
But always liked horses, I said I did too
But they're hard to draw, she said, Yes, that was very true
Said she could do the body okay, but never get the head
Tail or legs, I told her she was drawing sausages, not horses
She said no, they were horses

If a horse relative's mouth was like a dog's he would be a digitigrade ungulate carnivore (mostly un)known as Mesonychid.

When my sister's two giant Rhodesian ridgebacks visit and tower over my kids, I've always thought that the equivalent for an adult would be a horse with teeth, running around intent on sniffing the back of your neck. And now I've seen it. Thanks.
