Le Petit Théâtre Dior: An exhibit of miniature Dior creations was mounted in China earlier this year.

The site doesn't allow for deep linking, but be sure to watch the videos which include some fascinating insight into how some very detailed fabrics are created.

Along with yesterday's Marwencol post and the one the other day about the guy with the Christmas village obsession, I like the theme of small things.

I'd read about the 1945 show but I had no idea there was one that included contemporary designs. I'd love to see this. Note: the (autoplaying) videos are at the DiorMag link for 15 Novembre.

Thanks those are easier to see! Though I'll note that even there, there doesn't seem to be a way to direct link an individual blog entry.

Dear Dior,

The web, it gets webbier if people can actually make connections to your stuff.

Sincerely,

I actually couldn't watch them because when I stopped the autoplay, it wouldn't start again. That could be due to the shitty wifi where I'm staying though. But someone really needs to do a full length documentary on creating *one* gown and not waste time of stuff like Dior and I, with former Dior designer Raf Simons. Also not mentioned at their website. although I could've missed it.
