Looks like some good late night listening..thanks for the post!
There's something to be said to listening to the older generation... they've achieved that point in life where they really don't give a rat's a$$ about what people think, they just communicate their truth..we should really listen to them more.
Two evenings ago I stayed up MUCH later than usual, while wandering down some spotify wormhole I came across a couple of my favorite Biff Rose tracks (if I have to explain who Biff is, you're too young to appreciate this anyway...)...
Eventually, I did some googling, wondering what had happened to Biff. Evidently life has been a bit rough, I eventually found that someone had set up a gofundme site for Biff, seems he's lost most of his teeth (78 years old now) and his girlfriend (47 years old) has helped him try to fund a trip to a Mexican Dentist to get some implants... Being a fan (still have the lyrics to "Molly" memorized, even after nearly 50 years), I made a donation, and sent an e/mail I never thought would be answered... And, for the past two days have been in an email exchange with Biff, topics included, among others, politics, Bob Dylan, VW Buses, socialism, Johnny Carson (Biff was on the show a number of times) and Tiny Tim (that piece was interesting). It's been an education...
My take-away: Listen to the old people, they have something to share...
