George Saunders reads & discusses short fiction

George Saunders reads short short stories by Grace Paley and Barry Hannah and discusses them with Deborah Treisman, fiction editor of The New Yorker. The podcast is less than 40 minutes long and each of the stories fit on a single page of the magazine.

Thanks, I would've missed this. Saunders is fantastic and Hannah is one of my favorite writers... as is obvious from my username. I can't wait to listen.

There is a small gray arrow on the right side of the player, right-click that (in windows anyways) and hit Save As in the right click drop-box.
Saunders is fantastic ...

Agree totally. I wish he was reading some of his own material, I'd love to hear the pauses as he heard them in his head when he wrote, to hear the punctuation as it sounded in his mind as he wrote it. One of the (many) things I love about Audible is that on so many of their books offered, the author is reading them.

I wish he was reading some of his own material
I've been to one of his readings- it was great, he admitted that he has limited pallet of character voices when reading out lout, which was true and funny.
He's also as pleasant and interesting as I could've hoped.
