Lemmy is the living embodiment of Rock & Roll. I don't think I could bear the thought of living in world that doesn't have Lemmy in it.

Yes, his continued existence against all odds does seem to signify the balance of something in the universe. I fear something terrible will happen should he ever perish. Mountains crumbling, lava pits opening under our feet, that sort of thing.

I told my 15 year old son a while back that if you were to peel back all the layers of rock and roll: the mystery and mystique, the legends, the history... all of it, that I really think that at the heart of it all, you'd find Lemmy.

I was given Motorhead's Overkill and Bomber for Christmas (I was allowed to open them early). But I suppose they were more to celebrate Lemmy's birthday, really.

There will inevitably come a day when Lemmy and Keef are no longer with us. It’s hard, and sad to imagine that world where the force of Rock is so weakened. Already it wavers with the passing of of all the Ramones.
