That's one hell of a human being there. What a great life -- all of her contributions, and all of the fun she had putting them all together, and all of the fun she had any-old-way.

She seemed to be only one degree of separation away from everyone who was anyone, numbering among her friends and acquaintances the likes of Eartha Kitt, Shelley Winters, Farley Granger, Max Roach, Luciano Pavarotti, Mario M. Cuomo and Edward I. Koch.
