That photo of Alan Kurdi should be photo of the year, if not decade. I can't look at those little shoes and not think of the little shoes I put on my son's little feet every morning. When I first saw it I reflexively wept and I don't understand why this wasn't the end of all war, the end of all people needing to seek refuge.
My best theory is that people like Donald Trump, Putin, and Bashar Al-Assad have never had to help a three year old they loved with all their heart get into their shoes.

I like the comment on the blood moon photograph. even with the naked eye you could see the reddish tinge. In my browser it shows as e11104 - 88.2% red, 6.7% green and 1.6% blue. Vivid red.

That photo of Alan Kurdi should be photo of the year, if not decade.
That photo needs a goddamn warning before it's posted. I need to take a couple of minutes to calm down and collect myself every time I see it.

A GOOD picture is indeed worth a thousand words. A BAD picture requires ten-thousand words to explain it away.
