In other weblog news, /.'s parent company Andover.net has filed for IPO, pushing Rob Malda, Jeff Bates, and Robin Miller into a hush hush period. Andover has some great resources and I wish the IPO well!

The pending Andovoer IPO leaves a sour taste in my mouth. It seems like they bought Slashdot just to be considered a "Linux" company, which as Redhat investors know, would make them an almost guaranteed Wall Street success. But the sad fact is content companies have done terrible on their IPOs (Look at Salon.com and Quokka's recent IPOs).
