She is such a fascinating character, and so talented. I'm so conflicted on everything that's happened since her work was found (as to ownership, the ability to say whether or not your work gets shown, etc.), but it is a fascinating story.

Timely for me--I was just browsing the Chicago History Museum site because I am going to Chicago this weekend. Then I opened Metafilter and Maier's named popped up. This convinced me to go to the museum. Thanks!
