So, as I was saying, my name is EndsOfInvention. This is a sperical drosta comment. You're slowly scrolling down. Down there \/ is the future and up there /\ is the past. So now I'll hand you off to a future version of me.

I accidentally had it on loop - - I barely made it back here - - is it still 2016?

Should have had the video running on the laptop(s) too, although the different screen colours made a nice touch. And perhaps miniature black holes scooting through, just to distort spacetime a little more.

Would totally watch a 12 hour supercut. Or a 20 year live CGI stream, where he ages, but you can nip back and forth along the timeline.

I clicked on it expecting some new magical form of Dutch Hot Chocolate. Left disappointed.

Same here, I was totally expecting Chocolate Blue, kind of. Anyway. It's like the gamekeeper, his lamp, the ladder and the owl. This needs to be told in German:

...Der Oberförster wieder 'runter von der Leiter und auf der anderen Seite wieder 'rauf auf die Leiter,
und leuchtet dem Uhu mir der original Daimon Taschenlampe mitten in's Gesicht.
Was macht der Uhu?
Der Uhu dreht sich um.

The hot chocolate makes an appearance if you click on the link in Juv3nal's first comment up top and watch the explanatory video.

I like that you can pause and still pan around.

In this other video the existence of his differently accented and eclectic companion would suggest the whiteboard hides a TARDIS.

Unusual backstory on the name too.

Is this something you need an Oculus Rift to really appreciate?

The companion is MetaFilter favourite Vi Hart, who's apparently doing VR research these days.

First time I saw that video I spun it around at around 1 minute to see who it was outside the frame, at which point Hart looked at me and made a pirouette. That was a bit scary.
