That was surprisingly fun. And OMG nerdy.

That made my whole day! Loved seeing Hawking watching the cat videos.

I think it's pretty clear from Celery Man that Paul Rudd already understood entanglement.

Hawking's a fool. Don't correct the "Cal Poly" remark, let Rudd win, and then let him schlep out to Pomona for nothing.

Paul Rudd is pretty damn likable. I hope 2016 spares him.

The Twitter posts from everyone from Pope Francis to Judd Aptow to NASA was where I lost it.

This was amazing--thanks for posting!

“Future Keanu was right.”
Well, I just found my new favourite thing to scream the next time I defeat something or someone in any situation.

Don't correct the "Cal Poly" remark, let Rudd win, and then let him schlep out to Pomona SAN LUIS OBISPO...
where he could have competed in Quantum Madden 16 against Cal Poly alumnus John Madden himself... (or Quantum Rock Band against Weird Al Yankovic)

Good post! Thanks.

No slight intended, oneswellfoop. I seriously considered SLO, but I figured Rudd lives near Hollywood, which is much closer to Pomona.

They got Legal's mate right, with a quantum twist. One (or more) of those guys actually plays chess. Thumbs up.

Hollywood, which is much closer to Pomona.

Wut?

At least when I was attending Caltech, the confusion between the two schools was surprisingly common. "Where do you go to school?" "Caltech" "Is that the one in Pomona or the one in San Luis Obispo?"

Oh, you meant Hollywood is closer to Pomona than to SLO. I thought you were saying it was closer to Pomona than to Pasadena.

On the Importance of Being Quantum

As demonstrated by Quantum Chess, introducing the element of the unknown appears to give humans an equal chance when playing computers.

I'm so glad I came back to watch this today. I agree with magstheaxe; those tweets were awesome.

"Hawking is just playing with his food now," made me squawk.

KEANU: "That doesn't surprise me. I don't age."
RUDD: "That makes sense to me."

Made me chuckle out loud.

Paul Rudd should be in everything.

I'm super-wondering now whether the filmmakers gave Dr. Hawking a script which he then typed into his speech synthesizer for them to record for the movie, or whether they didn't bother him with all that and just filmed him for a little bit and then synthesized his lines themselves. I'd like to believe the former...
