On the Food Warriors, lunch is up to the locals' vote. Traveling the length of NYC's A-train, the Internets Celebrities "talk to people on the street about their habits and tastes," ponder an ever-changing New York, and hopefully find a good meal.

Jeremiah's Vanishing New York interviews director Casimir Nozkowski about Food Warriors (feat. Rafi Kam and Dallas Penn) and Old vs. New New York.

Why on earth is the music for this series not "Take the A Train?"

As someone who lives on one of the C local stops directly between two of the A stops they've already done, I am both super excited to watch this and vaguely bummed to be skipped.

The A goes local after 168, which is their last stop north before the end (207). I hope they do those stops between, which are legitimate A stops, and which would allow them to correct the grave error they made in the 168 video by choosing El Presidente over Malecón. Also there are some really great restaurants up there.

(Also, they seem to have completely skipped Hoyt-Schermerhorn, so I'll fill it in for the viewers at home: the best food by the Hoyt-Schermerhorn A stop is at the vegetarian Indian lunch counter in the basement of the Hare Krishna temple on Schermerhorn and Nevins. It's only open from 12-3 Monday-Friday, unfortunately, but if you're in the are around then it's a must-go).
