What's so nice about that man is that he is totally open-minded. 'Okay, I'm a modern pianist,' he seems to have thought, 'how do I make Bach work on a big stage and on my instrument?'

And then he gets himself a harpsichord and takes harpsichord lessons to get to know what you can do and cannot do on that instrument...And is able to speak about it all with authority.

It is not often that you hear your own instrument's* workings explained by the player of another instrument with so much ease and kindness...



* full disclosure: yes, I'm a professional harpsichordist...
