So uh, is there a reason why 50% of the images highlighted by gizmodo happen to be women in swimsuits? Women in swimsuits just that much more likely to glitch due to arcane science facts? Oh, okay.

Besides which, at a certain zoom level Google Maps switches over from satellite imagery to aerial photography.

I think the prevalence of scantily clad women is at least partially due to the fact all these pictures seem to be vacation photos, and the beach is a common vacation spot. That, and nothing drives clicks like a creepy amalgamation of naked limbs and bikini parts.
