"Put your hand in the box." A fun loving duo from Germany has created a version of the classic arcade game Pong that lets you punish your opponent's hand with sensations such as heat, punches and electroshocks of varying duration delivered through a "Pain Execution Unit". Remember: Fear is the mind-killer. (from Wired)

Look into the place where Pong dare not go, and you will find me there.

"Stilgar, do we have Pong Sign?"

"We have Pong Sign the likes of which even God has never seen!"

I'll stop now.

HTuttle: the concept is reminiscent of the gom jabbar from Dune.

The first game video is hilarious! Wiring up a stun gun will be the next counterstrike/mame killer mod - I'd love to see the first lan party.

From the movie version of Dune, the Gom Jabbar was the thimble of death, while the cranky old lady says the box was "pain by nerve induction".

This invention is the more tradition pain by hurting your hand variety!

Actually, I think cx had it right. This sounds less like the gom jabbar and more like the potentially lethal game that Bond James Bond played with Klaus Maria Brandenauer's (boy, that spelling looks wrong) character in one of those movies, maybe "Never Say Never Again."

Even so, I love the "Dune" references. "Fear is the mind killer. Fear is the little death that brings total obliteration. I will face my fear; I will let it pass through me *mumble something mumble* ... Only I will remain."
