Artists Of Brücke: German Expressionist Prints is the first exhibition New York's MoMA has created exclusively for the web. It was designed by Second Story, whose web site contains a lot of other terrific stuff.[Needs Flash]

Here's MoMA's online projects page, which includes Chopping Block's helpful Flash tutorial What Is A Print?, discussed on MetaFilter in April 2001.

Beautiful stuff Miguel. One of my favorite art movements, and a scintillating Flash presentation.

I do think the web Gallery is a great way to make art more accessible, though sadly it cannot but pale in comparison to experiencing the actual prints themselves. This is, of course, obvious. Hopefully, though, people who would otherwise have not been exposed to such art will be inspired to seek out and patronize non-virtual shows.

Sorry to butt in so soon, but I'd really like to encourage fellow members to explore the Second Story portfolio. It's a real treasure trove. Their web site itself is worth the trip. My favourite is this one, called Sleeping Giants, commissioned by Kodak and impossibly dreamy, with a haunting soundtrack.

Wow great link Miguel, this is why I read MetaFilter. Thanks!

WHY, I repeat WHY its that a FLASH Window?

There seems to be nothing there that could not have been done just the same in HTML (well, except for that paint brush effect.) Is HTML dead? In the future will there be only small Flash boxes containng ALL web content?

I agree with everyone. No, really. It is a cool exhibit, but I would like it about ten times more if it weren't flash.
Hey hey, my my . . . HTML will never die.
