Bird cams are forever tainted to me after listening to the This American Life segment about the terrible osprey mom. I can't watch! The Cornell cam seems pleasantly relaxing though.

Indeed! There are also the recently hatched owlets on the Savannah Bird Cam.

My daughter's first grade class has been watching the Hanover PA Bald Eagle cam with two eggs in the nest.

Really appreciate Mr. President and The First Lady (the DC eagles) swapping turns sitting on the eggs. Mr. President has obviously read the emotional labor thread.

I'm personally a fan of the HD Eagle Cam at Duke Farms.

We have an office sweepstake on exactly when Cumbria's Foulshaw Moss Ospreys will return to their nest - cam goes live tomorrow!

Sad news about the pair at Pitt today - they found the male/father's body. Fingers crossed the female can find a new mate quickly.

Sometimes I just put on that Cornell feeder cam at work when I'm not using the computer and let it run in the background while I do other stuff. It's nice and not nearly as dystopian as I might otherwise think.

You can vote for your favorite birds in the Cornell Lab March Migration Madness brackets while you watch the bird cams.

Go California Quail!

ALERT: THE MOM EAGLE IN MINNESOTA IS FEEDING THE BABIES

I was sure you were going to end that sentence with "season 2 of Silicon Valley", my own personal bird-cam-forever-ruiner.

E2 and Dorothy will both be missed. Optimistic for Hope's chances of finding a new mate & raising a clutch this year.

Just watched The First Lady feed chewed up fish pieces to her baby floof, my heart is alight with joy.

They aren't on cam, but I am glad to see that Pale Male is still the king of Central Park at the ancient age of 26. He and his eighth mate (Octavia, of course) are guarding eggs once again.

The oldest known wild red tail was only 27, and the oldest in captivity 30, so the fact that he can still defend the primest hawk real estate in NYC is extraordinary. I suspect his extraordinary genes are carried on in many of the other urban hawks that now nest in NYC, following his pioneering ways.
