This post was deleted for the following reason: Article doesn't really seem to have surprising insights or whatever beyond just "terrible person is terrible, here are a bunch of offensive examples", and I don't know that we need to be providing additional attention for this dude. -- LobsterMitten

The best way to understand Milo Yiannopoulos, internet troll extraordinaire, is to ask him about feminism.

I suspect this opening line contains the entire article, fractally, inside itself.

That's as good a definition of "thesis statement" as I've ever seen.

How very, very deep the man's hatred for himself must be.

TLDR: he's an asshole.

I was a happier person 20 minutes ago having never heard of this guy, but having RTFA it seems like the only difference between him and the average misogynist troll, aside from being gay, is that he's one of the turds that has floated to the top of the bowl. Ignoring him and his ilk doesn't work, and engaging with them only seems to lead to undesirable outcomes for everyone but them, so...nuke the entire site from orbit? I don't know.

> For him, online trolling is a counterculture for the modern age: a fun, rebellious way to fight the power.

Rebellion is supposed to be about punching up.

Never really heard of him, but when you grab the spotlight dance DANCE like your very lively hood depends on it. Which seems to be what he's doing.

Whoa I just realized this wasn't the same guy as Taki.

It's almost as if his actual opinions on anything are irrelevant and ephemeral and he'll do and say anything to perpetuate his own ego and financial gain. He acts like he's something new but it's basically AM Talk Radio 2: The New Batch.

I'm usually a post-and-let-post kind of guy, but I'm seriously questioning if we want this posted here.
