Earthlink founding investor Reed Slatkin to plead guilty of defrauding over 800 people out of $254 million in a Ponzi scheme. Several of the victims were members of the Church of Scientology, where he was a minister. Oh, and he filed for bankruptcy too so there's no chance for reparations... I don't know how to feel!

How is it possible fo Scientology and fraud to be linked?

Impossible. The Church of Scientology always operates on the highest levels of ethical righteousness. Ain't no way that a Scientologist could behave poorly.

It must have been his Thetans.

Isn't the founder of Earthlink, Sky Dayton, also heavily involved in Scientology? It's important to be clear about these matters.

Sky Dayton is, indeed a Scientologist. To be fair, the Co$ didn't have anything to do with Slatkin's crimes, it just provided him with the contact with his victims, which include FoxNews legal-infobabe (and plastic surgery victim) Greta Van Susteren and her husband.

Now that I've just defended the Co$, I'm going to go take a very long, scalding hot shower in which I shall scrub myself with bleach. Erk.
