I thought the OST was already on a church organ.

I mixed up Interstellar with Intergalactic and was expecting The Beastie Boys.

Was I the only one disappointed by the Interstellar soundtrack? Zimmer has written some epic scores and Interstellar was a great opportunity, even if the movie itself was lacking. The early teasers used Evey Reborn from the V For Vendetta soundtrack, which is the perfect music for an epic journey into the unknown. Though I suppose Zimmer's score was ultimately a better fit for the maudlin meditation-on-a-father's-love that Interstellar turned out to be.

I'm also bitter because the early shots of the ringed spaceship surrounded by gravitational lensing effects had me convinced we were going to see an Alcubierre drive in action, which would have been so. cool.

Dammit, I was hoping it would be "Interstella 5555"

That would have been harder, but it also would have been better, faster and stronger.

I really liked the soundtrack. I thought it redeemed a couple of the weaker parts of the movie and made it a pretty solid movie watching experience over all.

Thanks for sharing this, quality post.

I've always wondered how recreational organists get permission to play organs like this.

Seeing Interstellar in the theater I felt like I was watching the movie from inside a pipe organ. There were several scenes where the ridiculously-loud music overpowered not just the dialogue but the explosions and other big sound effects.
