Double Feature: An American History Test & "The Paula Principle"

Double Feature: An American History Test & "The Paula Principle" Larry David's experiment in web animation may be somewhat disappointing, coming from Seinfeld's funniest writer, but the Voting Booth Test that precedes it, about American presidential antics, is funny, informative, brilliantly presented and...damn difficult! At least for us poor foreigners...[Needs Shockwave or Flash or something. Just click on Play to get to the voting booth.]

I scored only 73, but I deported myself long ago. No one need worry I'll make a crazy voting decision for not knowing that it was Richard Nixon, and not Gerald Ford, who could not fall sleep without the gentle breathing of a goat in his ear.

[And isn't this a repeat?]

I thought I was doing pretty good, but I only got 40%. I always used to fall asleep in history class.... and now I'm paying the price. Damn!

Oh, and I thought the cartoon was too dumb to sit all the way through...

ugh. 66%. And, Miguel, considering I don't even know if Portugal has presidents, if you score above 0% you kick my ass.

63%. I'm just not up on the nicknames of 19th Century presidents.

Yes, the flash was a one-liner that went on for many, many lines.

Except the part about the woman who works at the Library of Congress--now that's funny.

Wow...I know way too much trivia about dead white guys...I scored 90%. I gotta get out more...

I was doing well and then started to screw up in the end -- clearly I know more about the 19th c. than then 20th. Still, 76% isn't awful.
