Wait, is Jimmy Olsen's Boyfriend Kyle actually a canonical DC character?

This is brilliant and I love it.

Ha, that was great. I'd love to see DC support someone tackling this as an actual book, even—imagine a cape comic story told through the lens of a hectic, style-swapping series of one-offs and pinups and splashes with all the dialogue disarmed and deconstructive but also critical commentary interjected by the characters as marginalia.

I'm reading it as Kyle Rayner tbh

But he obviously isn't personally acquainted with the heroes he draws, so I guess this must be a universe in which Rayner hasn't been inducted into the Corps and then the League?

I'm always FASINCATED by superhero stories that place them in a modern media context, like this, like I'd want an entire book just following the PR person for a superhero or thier media manager.

you know I love you, but Robin and I share the the bond of two men who have been tied up in a warehouse together waiting for two other, different men

Huh. Until this very moment, I did not realize how desperately I was in need of this descriptor.

The whole thing is fantastic but just the handle "weedhorse69" makes it special.

I'm reading it as Kyle Rayner tbh

Well, thanks, now I am too, which opens me up to wanting to do a whole other search of real deviantart that I'm not about to do from work.

Thumbs up.

If anyone has any screencaps of the time Guy Gardner's YouTube comment section flameout, I'd like to see them too.

If it becomes necessary to the plot of the book for Batman to outwit a villain or solve a crime by knowing how to playing the violin, Batman knows how to play the violin. The fact that googling shows no evidence for this just means that (a) it's a trick that's still up his sleeve and/or (b) it's a pretty nice little Sherlock Holmes reference.

Does seem like the sort of thing pre-orphan Bruce might have been forced to learn a bit of. But I think I prefer the idea of adult Bats deciding to learn from scratch in a burst of just and vigilant anger, just sawing on cats down in The Cave while Alfred keeps his earbuds in and polishes the silver.

Yeah, I mostly read the violin thing as a Sherlock Holmes riff, too. Which was amazing. Of course Batman would play the violin. He's Batman.
