DID YOU KNOW? THE MUPPET CHRISTMAS CAROL IS 11.99% MORE JEWISH THAN THE HEBREW HAMMER

Damn right I want to report an error. The Producers (1967) is only 53.34% Jewish!

(Apparently all this gizmo does is tabulate all the cast and crew and match them against a list of known Jews (which sounds really creepy when I put it like that), and then add a bonus point for Jewish subject matter.)

Fiddler on the Roof: 37.89%. I am dying to know what's the most Jewish film in the database.

I put in the most Jewish film I know, which is "Fill The Void" - an Israeli movie set in Tel Aviv's Hasidic community - but it somehow only managed to get up to 10.12% Jewish. (I wonder if a lot of the cast and crew weren't on the master list of Jews in Hollywood, precisely because it's an Israeli movie.)

Another Israeli film, "Operation Thunderbolt," gets up to almost 40% Jewish -- but still not as Jewish as "The Santa Clause 2."

(This is what I know about movies from working at a library in Borough Park, Brooklyn. That and Schindler's List (50% Jewish).)

I was shocked to find that the first three Mad Max films were 0.00% Jewish.

probably because Aussie Jews aren't on the list, but still

Zero Motivation, a slacker comedy about Jewish conscripts in the Israeli Defence Forces, set in the Negev desert, with Israeli actors speaking in Hebrew -- 19.06%.

It seems that Edward G. Robinson makes movies 20% more Jewish.

Airplane!: 70%.
Airplane! II: 11%.

Somehow a movie written by Ken Finkleman and starring William Shatner scored 11%.

probably because Aussie Jews aren't on the list, but still

It excludes an Oscar-nominated New Zealander whose mother's name is Cohen, too. 0% Jewishness on his two features (admittedly, they don't strike me as particularly Jewish content-wise).

excuse me but what we do in the shadows is exceptionally jewish, esp. the bits about putting down some napkins if you're a messy eater

Searching for Woody Allen's most Jewish movie. So far, it seems to be Take The Money And Run, at 58%. Bananas is close. Something something early funny films.

And John Ford's "The Quiet Man" is 0.94% more Jewish than "Waltz With Bashir".

This site is bananas.

Oh, come on! "My Dinner With Andre": Wallace Shawn and Andre Gregory are the entire cast and they both wrote it as well.

30.35%!

I give up. I'm going to bed.

Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon is 23.52% Jewish, 9.84% more Jewish than the 1978 NBC miniseries Holocaust.

I feel better after reading the comments. I thought I had just discovered that I secretly hate the Jews.

Maybe this is a site to actually promote the idea that the Jewish people actually don't run the media. Reverse psychology!

Look Who's Back is 11.50% Jewish...which seems a bit high to me, but I was re-assured to find Downfall got 0.00% Jewish, which I expected.
Independence Day is 51.11 Jewish, which I attribute to Judd Hirsch. -- "You don't actually think they spend $20,000 on a hammer, $30,000 on a toilet seat, do you?"

The TJFF has been a consistent source of memorable advertising - one part edgy, one part borscht belt - including urging riders of various ethnicities to discover their inner jew, listing rejected Jewish films, and returning to their preferred visual pun.

The "Did you know" is informing me that Exodus is actually negatively Jewish.

Funny People is 76.6%. That's the highest I've found.

Yentl is 71.21,"25.54% MORE JEWISH THAN EXODUS", which I believe was a marketing tagline.

(*shameface* I somehow forgot about that one. And Eagle vs Shark. I meant Boy and Hunt for the Wilderpeople. Both of which are probably about 80% Maori, minimum. Albeit WWDITS is essentially a documentary about Wellington youth culture in the early 90s and I was there and it didn't seem incredibly Jewish, but maybe I was just oblivious....like I probably would not have made that napkin connection, tbh)

I was re-assured to find Downfall got 0.00% Jewish

Triumph of the Will manages to be 2% Jewish and the 1940 version of Jud Süß is 25% Jewish.
posted by elgilito at 4:13 AM on May 22, 2016

That 2% rating for Triumph of the Will is due to the site identifying Nazi jurist Hans Frank, who was convicted at Nuremberg, as Jewish, which...no.

It seems to have a serious blind spot about documentaries. When Comedy Went to School is a 2013 documentary about the Catskill resorts and the Jewish comedians who performed Jewish comedy for Jewish audiences, and it scores 24.57%.

Initially I miss-read J-DAR as Jar with an implicit second Jar. Appears nobody has yet invented the character Jew Jar Binks, but presumably that'd be used to human mock the racial stereotypes that appear in non-humans in StarWars.

AT 44.08%, THE CHOSEN IS 31.42% MORE JEWISH THAN
EIGHT CRAZY NIGHTS.

At 60.10%, EIGHT CRAZY NIGHTS IS 35.86% MORE JEWISH THAN HOLY ROLLERS

Site is broken?
