I saw this when it was at the Musée d'art contemporaine in Montreal as part of the Beat Culture exhibit. The MAC has a pretty decent video promoing the exhibition on their archive page for the exhibit.

There are lots of great artists working in hip-hop and new media who also come from indigenous backgrounds - I really like Jackson 2Bear (check out his Iron Tomahawks) and A Tribe Called Red (prev on metafilter 1, 2).

Anyways, just to say this is cool, and if you poke around there is lots more like it!

I think you mislabeled the parts. Part 1 is the traditional dance, Part 2 is the modern dance.

I can't decide if this is dryly subversive, or just wrong ;-)
