Alex Beam from the Boston Globe takes some of blogging heavy hitters to task over the blogging phenomena. Lileks is mentioned and has a premptive strike. Is the the same ol'-same ol' or does he make any valid points?

The whole blogging--reporting on blogging--reporting on reporters reporting on blogging was tedious from the very beginning.

The question to ask is why does this issue stir up such extreme emotions?

Definitely let's divert this discussion to the already far-more-intense MetaTalk thread. But yes, same ol' same ol', and it's gonna be years before any blogger takes Alex Beam seriously, after showing his mindboggling stupidity in his comments about Bjorn Staerk.
