Thomas Dolby's cat doesn't clog the toilet with paper. Just sayin'.

Yo, you forgot to flush. And you left the cover up!

Come on Thomas Dolby: If its yellow let it mellow. Are you unfamiliar with climate change?

I misread the cat's name as "Virtute", and for a moment got excited that this might be a link to a new song by The Weakerthans.

The toilet paper bill for that cat is higher than my 4 cats vet bills combined...not to mention that you now have the choice of pulling a huge pile of cat pee soaked toilet paper out of the toilet or flushing it and paying a hefty plumber's cost to clear the drain...daily...... Nope, teaching the cat to do this was NOT a good plan!

I've always wanted to toilet train my cats, but right around the time I got the idea (thanks Mingus!) I moved to California. If your wastewater is flushed into the ocean, you shouldn't let your cats shit in the toilet. There's a chance they're transmitting Toxoplasmosis gondii "eggs" into the ocean wildlife food stream. It may not affect your cat (or yourself) much, but "Toxo" kills sea otters and can harm other types of ocean-dwelling mammals.

I have an incredibly well trained rescue cat that doesn't do anything bad except the occasional ate-too-fast regurg but then she almost entirely cleans that up herself as well. She doesn't claw our furniture or knock stuff off of things. She doesn't wake us up way too early or climb on the kitchen counter. She doesn't mark or go out of her litter box. She just isn't a bad cat at all.

These kind of videos are great though because I use them to stop my wife whenever she starts thinking she would like another cat.

It is a pool of water with a hole in the bottom, from which anything could emerge. It's not surprising that the idea of turning one's butt towards it for extended periods would trip multiple alarm bells.

Part of my cat's litterbox routine involves finding a plastic bag if there's one nearby, dragging it into the litterbox, and scrapping a bunch of litter into it. Because that's how you clean the litterbox.

This meant listening to 20 minutes of plastic bag sounds at 4 in the morning until we hid all of the bags.

I bet behind that whole film there is someone feeling righteously justified that they can prove it wasn't them blocking the khazi with a whole roll every time they went.

Or feeling righteously justified about the one tiny use case where rolling the TP 'under' makes more sense than the usually-sensible 'over' option.

It sure does for me.

I knew someone who trained one of her cats to use the toilet (sans paper), but I always worry about a cat slipping, falling, and drowning. Keep both seats down, folks.

Are you sure it's a cat? Doesn't sound like a cat to me, and I've known a quite a few.

Thus I want to deprive her of cat role models!
