It's not really Christmas until you hear Shatner scream.

For the past twenty-five years, Hallmark has included Star Trek themed Christmas ornaments in it's annual Keepsake ornament series (Memory Alpha has a complete rundown). These range from ships to characters to props to memorable scenes. However, none of these compare to this years' contributions, which include perhaps the pinnacle of their efforts.

Stongly considering purchasing 100 units and solely decorating this year's tree with them.

"Daddy had a weird year, kids."

I approve of this, unsurprisingly.

I have the Shuttlecraft Galileo ornament and it's the best.

Unfortunately I don't have them all yet. And finding lights that work with the old ones is becoming a problem. I highly recommend Hallmark's Journeys Into Space series. The detail is insane.

TIL that Hallmark makes an Alien Queen Christmas ornament and I'm not sure how to feel about that but it seems to be equal parts 'yes' and 'what'

Just...like...wow.

Actually, now I want one of Checkov having a "creature" put into his ear by Khan.

Please?

Getting one of these is the only thing that might make me put up a giftmas tree ever again.

Do any of the ornaments feature that awesome "fight scene" music they always used ("baba BA BA BA BA BA BA baba BAAAA BA.....")? Because I'm suddenly thinking it would be awesome to have a tree covered with ornaments that play that, and wiring them all so they would start up at the touch of a single remote control button or something - so you could have them all pay it simultaneously and stage battles in your living room.

I want one that's just the ear with the larva bloodily exiting it.

Well I can see that this year's Christmas is going to be a tad expensive. My daughter is a big-time Star Trek TOS nut, and I feel obligated to go and get all of them for her.

I never knew this was a thing. I also didn't know there were still Hallmark stores.

Don't forget that Hallmark doesn't have a lock on all the good stuff.

Hallmark had a "regular" Alien a couple years ago. It spent a week terrorizing my mom's Christmas village.

In other Trek news, does the new ship look familar to anyone else? No? Just me? OK, nevermind.

ckape: I think it's supposed to, which is great. Go go star destroyer EnterpriseDiscovery!

First off, Fuller answered the question of whether the Discovery, just revealed, was based on Ralph McQuarrie’s ‘70s designs for the Enterprise. Fuller said it was, but “to a point that we can’t legally comment on it until [our legal team] figures out some things.”

Okay that sounds weird?

My favorite is the one where it looks like Kirk is sitting on the roaster taking a thoughtful dump.

He'd fit in well with that fine Spanish tradition of decorating cribs with a caganer. Do a Google images search for "Spock caganer" and I think you'll like what you see.

Worst. Starship. EVER.

A front page post on caganers? It's been done.

When will Hallmark be making a caganer of the Doomsday Machine pooping out the Starship Constellation?

Shuttlecraft to Enterprise... This is a holiday memory I didn't even remember having.

$24 in 1992, geez.

Except for the original Enterprise you can pick up a lot of these ornaments for not too much money as long as you don't want them in mint condition, which can simply mean not in the original box. There are people who collect them and people who just want to put them on the tree.
