Oh man, that human sounding cat. A few years back, around bedtime, we heard what sounded like a plaintive human child downstairs in our home saying, "Hello?". Repeatedly. Scared shitless at what the hell was going on in my house, I investigated and discovered it was one of our cats, who at about age 10 decided it was high time to get into impersonations.
He still does it occasionally (14 years old and still going strong). It's super creepy.

Yay cats - please bring them on. I can't have cats because my dog is Dog (people stop me on the street to tell me how much he resembles Dog). But I love watching them

Those birds interfering in the cat fight, were those Magpies?
The only reason the damned things could do that was that both cats were primarily paying attention to each other. If they'd done that to a single cat, alone, at least one of those bird would have been killed.
