I used to think that the ocean was exclusively horrifying, but these days I wonder if the ocean's cute - horrifying = 0.

You got the blobfish but you also got the bigfin squid, but then you got this baby manta ray, but oh wait here's a bobbit worm.

PS they should scatter a few pokemon in totally inaccessible places -- the abyssal plains of the deep ocean, the summit of Annapurna, the bottom of one of those underwater caves. and they should all be Pidgeys

That video is almost certainly of a toy or something similar. A quick image search for "rossia pacifica" brings up lots of squid which look nothing like the one in the video and a few snapshots of the video itself. Also it doesn't move at all.

I call shenanigans.

Rossia pacifica turns up a lot of squid that are shaped almost exactly like that guy, but I kinda have to wonder if the lights did something to him. He seemed a little baked.

Deep sea undiscovered alien creatures freak me the fuck out. Look at its dead eyes. We have no idea what it thinks or what it's capable of except that it thinks I'm as weird and threatening as it seems to me. Like, when real Aliens land on the White House Lawn in their flying saucers to enslave us, we will *still* have more in common with those off world visitors/masters than we do with these weird ass animal things from the deep.
