Enjoy this video of a cat giving his dog buddy a massage and some hypnotherapy. Perhaps he's working his way up to enlisting the dog's aid against the parrots.

Bonus: the cat and the laser printer, just because.
Extra bonus: more of Chris Cohen's Animal Translations

There's something very satisfying about watching parrots giving zero shits and terrorizing cats. Heaven knows cats deserve as much bird-delivered grief as possible.

Cats are just way too smart for dogs: two dogs, a cat, and a swimming pool.

while I totally get that sentiment, I'm going to have to be that person who points out that there is bacteria in cat saliva that can be really dangerous to birds, who can get a deadly infection from even a really small cat scratch.

Interesting that many of the parrots were poicephalus--two Senegals and a Meyers. My own Senegal is jealous of our two cats, who in turn resent her. They've co-existed for years and both respect each others' sharp and pointy weapons. When a happy cat wanders by with tail aloft, however, and Turtle Bird is hanging out on someone's knee, chances are good that there will be a very abrupt cat departure and Turtle will suddenly have a big tuft of tail fur in her beak.

I watched about 6 of those Chris Cohen videos and they are all way more enjoyable than expected. I think my favorite is Cat vs. Deer.

The dogs wouldn't be much help against the parrots I don't think.

Watching these is interesting, the parrots seem to have an almost human ability to identify what will intimidate the larger animals and refine their technique accordingly.

That parrot video is not a bit damn funny. It only takes a second for things to go wrong, and those owners do not appear to even be aware of the safety issue. And yes cat saliva is toxic to birds (because you know, cats are predators who hunt birds, among other things) and...yeah I just can't even. These are the same people that think it's funny to walk up to a bison in Yellowstone and get their selfie....stupid.
Birds have sharp strong pointy beaks yes. Birds weigh 100 times (or greater) less than the average cat. No parrot, if it gets bit, is going to win against a cat.

The deer one was great, and the cat and printer translation was hysterical. Love these!

Yeah, I hate to rain on anybody's parade, but the parrot-and-cat video, when the cats got cranky and started whacking, was more like watching children play near a busy road than an amusing little diversion.

I was amused by the African Grey who got hold of the cat's tail in one foot. We have an African Grey, and not long ago she was sitting on my hand, munching on an apple I was holding. When I tried to put her in her cage, instead of stepping politely down on a perch as she normally does, she got one foot wrapped around a bar and grabbed my finger with the other one, so I couldn't take the apple away. I finally got her to let go by the old trick of slowly lowering my hand below the level of the perch until she had to let go or tip over.

We used to have a Moluccan cockatoo that would get one huge foot around each of my wrists. We called this "cockatoo handcuffs."

Hah! The kid is drugging that poor cat with whatever hormone their heads give off to promote nursing -- just ask a few people who take care of babies how good their heads smell.

But, you know, 'bout time cats got some of their own back.

Yeah, Baby Head Smell works better than pheromones. It's also a great name for a band.

Do you know what it actually is?

I've been assuming it *is* a pheromone.
