A short video on humility

Full props to Ray but unicoloured pieces in the dark is a little like challenging Willie Nelson to a spelling bee in Braille, or Morse Code.

(Sorry for the poor analogy; I suspect Ray could kick Willie's ass in a straight-up spelling bee)

Plus it's super easy to convince Willie that he just took his turn and it's your turn again.

I was told a similar story by ace lawyer David Lepofsky. He was arguing a case at the Court of Appeal when they were hit by a power outage. Lepofsky, who is blind, said "My Lords, I am quite prepared to continue..."

Ray was a good player. Larry Evans said so.

Many years ago, I came home after a late night out on the weekend, turned on the TV, and saw Ray Charles & Willie Nelson both laughing & jamming on their pianos to the song 'Georgia'. It was the most stoner thing that I'd ever seen in my life.

I'm now envisioning an animated series where two famous celebrities play chess with one another. In the same vein as MTV's Celebrity Deathmatch as seen back in the 90s. I think it would be a fun little series to do. I know that I'd watch.

That deserves a link yt.

Haha, thanks! I think that the version that I saw on TV was from a few years earlier, and kinda looser.
