Oh my goodness this is the best.
I love seeing people be idiots with their pets, and this is just everything.

I don't believe there will ever come a point in my life when I think, "There is not one more thing I could learn about Iggy Pop that would make him more interesting."

This is just the best, and makes me happier than the episode of DS9 where Iggy played a Vorta.

What. You're telling me Iggy Pop could somehow be MORE AWESOME?

OMG.

Cockatoos are too perfect for this fallen world.

I'm not a perfect person, but I like to believe I've done enough good in my life that I deserve this.

Windigo, don't think for a second that my immediate response on seeing Biggy Pop was that they should meet.

This is exactly the sort of person who should own a cockatoo: someone with plenty of money and time. This is completely adorable. Good to know Iggy Pop is in the ranks of the crazy bird people!

It is so obvious that Biggy LOVES Iggy! Cockatoo ownership is a serious challenge and it's obvious that Iggy understands how to keep his bird chum happy. Sooooo great.

This is so sweet. My kid went to a summer camp that cares for rescued animals and there were a bunch of parrots, cockatoos, etc. that had been mistreated or neglected and had plucked out feathers. It's nice to see such a happy bird and owner.

there were a bunch of parrots, cockatoos, etc. that had been mistreated or neglected and had plucked out feathers.

One of the most awful things I have ever seen was the row of cockatoos at the vet training clinic at my university. They were all collared to stop them from further plucking as they had plucked all of their reachable feathers and bit gaping holes into their own chests. There were at least five of them.

These are not animals to take on as pets without knowing how serious a commitment it is and how psychologically fragile they are. They are worse than the worst emo teenagers.

Such a delightful and effective antidote to all the vitriol I've been reading this morning, thank you x1000.

Birds don't have lips; so they can't pronounce "b's" or "p's."

The best way to raise a parrot, is to disregard what all the books tell you.
Don't give them a schedual they can depend on; and you'll never have your bird screaming at dinner time, you won't have your bird missing you if you're not home on time, and you won't have your bird plucking it's feathers when it misses you or it's schedual changes.

Odds are your bird will outlive you.
If you don't begin preparing your bird for life without you from day one... odds are your parrot will pluck it's feathers when your circumstances change.
