"Chanticleer and Cantus, America's best-in-class male vocal ensembles, have never shared a stage together. They have shared a beer together, and, famously, video of that event last winter went wildly viral. [Ed.: YouTube link.] That inspired these two groups to think of what collaboration might look like. Voila!" Tonight's concert was streamed live from Orchestra Hall in Minneapolis.

I am really impressed at how good this (the first video) is in spite of the terrible cell phone audio. I'm pretty sure I've sung that exact version of Ave Maria, and it is so pretty. These guys are fantastic!

In the second video, the two choirs share the stage starting at ~1h 18min, for those who want to hear them together.

JOYGASM!!!

For the first time since I was five years old, I'm not singing with any choral groups at the moment. This really warmed my little 2nd Alto heart at a time when I really needed it.
