Lady Gaga has begun her "Dive Bar Tour" with an appearance in Nashville at The 5 Spot [professionally filmed* for Facebook Live broadcast, 25m40s]. She debuted three new songs: "Sinner's Prayer", "A-Yo", and "Million Reasons", and also performed recent single "Perfect Illusion". She played guitar and performed with a four piece rock-and-roll band and asked the crowd to call her "Joanne". And, editorial note, she was pretty f-n awesome!**

Looks like Chris Ganes that Garth Brooks did but this works. She pulled it off...

You will notice that the only crowd control is a thin yellow line on the venue floor. The link in the Tennessean mentions that the concert was hush-hush (so there can't have been generally available tickets) but that "Joanne" put on a second concert for about 150 fans pulled off the street after the show was filmed.

I sort of hope she just keeps adjusting to the local music scene, like her next show is in New Orleans and all of a sudden she's playing zydeco, then she goes to El Paso and plays norteño and so on.

A couple of questions are raised: Is "Joanne" a new persona for Stefani Joanne Angelina Germanotta, like "Lady Gaga" is?
It's sort of hard to tell - she had that male persona (Jo Calderone) for a while. Youtube MTV Music Awards, NSFW language

Joanne is also the name of the restaurant in NYC (w68th) that her parents own, which is apparently not very good. Maybe it's improved since 2012, but we lived in the neighborhood then and the overwhelming consensus was that it was terrible.
