Ha! My daughter showed me these, like, a week and a half ago. I've got an EDGE.

Me: Some of these are sort of funny.
Me to me: Post a three paragraph rant about how this will end up being used by racist idiots, just like the Kermit Lipton meme, and how Jim Henson would be made sick to see his character used in such a way.

Lipton Kermit meme acquired the phrase "... but that's none of my business." Which made a perfect match for people who really wanted to voice their crap opinions on things that are none of their business.

This one is more about the internal struggle to do good in face of temptation to do evil, which I don't think is something racist meme-makers can identify with.

RobotHero is right on. Appropriation has limits. Like republican stand-up. Now...what can be done about the senseless Pepe casualty?

As the Lipton meme has gotten older, I have noticed that people are now cramming whole paragraphs of their political opinions in the upper half. But that, indeed, is none of my business.

This one's still enough to make me smile, at least until the pepe people ruin it the way they ruin everything.

This one is pretty good.

This one is pretty good.

If you're appropriating Kermit for a partisan argument, it is.

The Trump one does show I may have underestimated how far the meme could mutate. I had only seen the "me to me" versions which requires you're talking about your own thoughts.

Is this the next iteration of that "Tea Lizard" that the kids were all excited about? They were talking about it on Good Morning America a few months ago...

Jim Henson would be made sick to see his character used in such a way

Me: The Muppets were hugely important to your childhood so it's always going to be too soon to make a Jim Henson illness joke.

Me to me: Is it?
