Who's that in the red suit? This is the American Cancer Society's campaign on colon cancer - you can even "download the Desktop Polyp" (Windows only, so I couldn't try it out). I realize this is a very serious subject, but....eeww.
I could see maybe a cartoon character. There has to be a better way.

HA! These ads are killing me.
Doctor: "Were you looking for a colon?"
Polyp: "Who isn't?"

I saw an ad on TV for this the other day. I thought the guy in the red suit was pretty damn funny. Maybe I'll be a polyp for Halloween.

Well, it obviously got you guys talking and thinking about it. So, if it gets other people to do the same thing, even over-50 people might consider this procedure.
Colon cancer is one disease that can easily be detected and *prevented* with proper screening. Sorry to sound like a poster child for colonoscopies but I've seen what can happen when this disease gets a hold of you. If you've got a family history, it's especially important. And the worst part of the procedure is the "gastromic carwash" you have to go through before the procedure. And that's not that bad.

Seriously, I've seen this disease take one friend...quickly. Another has battled it for years. This is one (of many) situations where Ben Franklin was right: An ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure. Walking 1/2 hour a day reduces your risk by something like 50%.

Props to the actor in the red suit, though... he's really into it.
