Restaurant reviews are a dime a dozen on Youtube, but what the world still lacked was a guy going around London chicken shops rating them on wing crispiness, chip consistency, burger buildup and value for money (anything over two pounds fifty is stretching it). Fortunately, now there's Chicken Connoisseur's The Pengest Munch to fill the gap.

funny and suave little guy

new words to like:
mandem: From the Latin 'Mandemulus', meaning a collection of less than reputable characters.

pengest: Awesome; nice, okay

sheggry: The non-swearing form of fuckery/fuckeries

bossman: And every Londoner knows that it would be hugely disrespectful to refer to the owner of a chicken shop or newsagent as anything other than bossman.

I watched this last night and spent the rest of the evening driving my wife nuts by referring to everything as a "ting".

As etymologies go, that one is at least creative, if not correct.

The videos are great and make me hungry.

This came over UK/London Twitter like a wave yesterday, and the kid who stars in the videos is obviously very charismatic.

This young man is great and will be going places. But as an American, I am disturbed by his referring to a chicken sandwich as a burger.

This is my favourite thing today—watched all six videos about four times each and made everyone in my office watch them. The reviewer (who says he's "23 but I look like 15") has loads of charisma and his friend who films it has a real gift.

They'll go far. I've heard... rumours... of a BBC co-production.

Same Urban Dictionary page: Man Dem is the term used for a group of friends or homies. This term originated from the carribean but found its way to the streets of the uk where it is widely used.

It seems I've been hearing Jessie J correctly after all.

Holy moley. I had him pegged for about 12 and was amazed at his poise for his age. Now I'm amazed at his missing decade. "Oscar Wilde, red courtesy phone"....

Nothing else has summed up how London feels in the last 10 years like PhoneShop.

Here's The Best of Razz Prince (NSFW swearing).

Yeah, I mean he's talented and everything, but he lost me in episode 3 when I realised the Mirinda in Tennessee was a deliberate choice when he said it was the only good thing about Tufnell Park Dixy. Seriously, do they not have Rubicon in London or something?

Got a problem with Mirinda, then? I mean, it isn't that orange stuff in the slim blue can, but I'll take it over Rubicon's syrupiness any day. But if it's all they've got apart from Vimto and doogh, I'll take the Rubicon over the anagram of vomit and the big bottle of oh-jeez-no.

But we can agree that if it's churrasco, it's gotta be Sumol, right? Skipping that would be like leaving off the Thums Up when you're out for kati roll.

It comes from the Patois for "men," as in the plural of "man." One man, several man dem.

I like the humor of the fake definitions, it's just weird to google it and see that the fake definitions get cited as authoritative.
